Principal Investigator, supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (Class A). He received his B.S. in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2005 and his Ph.D. from the Institute of Physics, CAS, in 2010. From 2010 to 2015 he worked at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory and the University of California, Berkeley as a postdoctoral researcher and assistant researcher. He joined the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in late 2015 and was promoted to tenured professor in 2021. In 2024 he joined the Institute of Physics, CAS, as a Distinguished Professor. His research focuses on developing advanced time-resolved and ultrahigh-energy-resolution ARPES techniques to study the microscopic mechanisms of high-temperature superconductivity and ultrafast laser control of quantum materials. He has published about 70 papers, including 2 in Science, 2 in Nature, 1 in Nature Materials, 1 in Physical Review X, 12 in Physical Review Letters, 2 in Nature Communications, and 2 in PNAS, and has authored one English monograph.
Our laboratories are located in Building M at the Zhongguancun campus and Building X7 at the Huairou campus. We recruit two master’s students and two PhD students each year, and we warmly welcome outstanding PhD graduates to join the group as postdoctoral researchers.
